Alternate route map

The city of Willow Park has been made aware of the delays at the Mikus Road/I-20 intersection during the current TxDOT project, and is taking steps to alleviate the concerns of our residents and those who travel through our town on the way home to neighboring communities.

Controls have now been put in place during peak evening rush hours to help lessen time spent waiting at the signals on the north and south sides of the interstate. TxDOT has also supplied us with maps of some suggested alternate routes, which are included in this message.

Motorists travelling to Annetta, Annetta South, and Annetta North can use FM 1187 S to either Old Annetta Road or FM 5, then travel west to their destination. Motorists needing access to areas north of the interstate can travel north on Farmer Road/FM 3325 to White Settlement Road, which connects to northern points in the city and East Lake Drive, which connects to FM 730 north of Weatherford.

Southern alternate route

Area drivers wishing to use Ranch House Road as an alternate route will be able to do so in March of 2019, when the final stages of the Ranch House construction project are complete.

Any questions or comments can be directed to either Texas Department of Public Safety spokesperson Bethany Kurtz at or Scott Cooner, Mobility Coordinator with Texas A&M Transportation Institute at

We appreciate the patience and cooperation of our residents as we work toward the future of Willow Park.
