Update April 29, 2024:

The Weatherford Mountain Bike Club (WMBC), the City of Willow Park, and Plains Capital Bank would like to thank everyone for their cash donations to support the construction of the “Trinity Track” Kids’ Mountain Bike Skills Area. The WMBC would like to give a special shoutout to the citizens and businesses of Willow Park for supporting this $16,500 trail project. More than 90% of the fundraising dollars were generated within Willow Park. Great job, Willow Park!

The Trinity Track trail construction is planned to commence in May. More details from the WMBC will follow.

WHAT IS THE TRINITY TRACK?

The Weatherford Mountain Bike Club and City of Willow Park are raising funds to support the construction of a kids’ mountain bike skills area and trail at Kings Gate Park.

The area, which will be called the “Trinity Track,” will have berms, armored trail, bridges and other elements suitable for kids and beginners. There will be an additional 3,000 or so feet of single track trail at the park to help beginners build their skills for the more difficult mountain bike trails.

WHAT YOUR DONATIONS WILL DO

  • Provide a facility for kids and beginners to learn fundamentals of mountain biking
  • Create a recreational trail amenity for Kings Gate Park
  • Build a beginner-level trail
  • Provide trail markers and EMT locations for emergency personnel
  • Build a trail head kiosk with a map and rules listing
